NICO SALAZAR
Nicholas “Nico” Salazar is a two time award winning music producer and DJ based out of Las Vegas, Nevada. His musical style is a mixture of house and techno. Throughout the early 2000’s, he began collecting vinyl and soon began practicing mixing on turntables. As the decade progressed, he soon learned to be versatile with CDJs and other types of equipment.
In 2014, he was heard on 96.7 Pulse radio station while mixing deep and funky house at House Show Club and soon made weekly appearances at the club, playing hour sets and setting a vibe at the club which in turn helped in growing the local scene.
In 2015, he was making monthly appearances at Artisan After Hours, playing events such as Masquerade Ball and Foundation. September of that year, he also made an appearance at Drai’s Beach Club for the House Music Awards. He has shared the bill with many legendary names; Steve Silk Hurly, Julian Jumping Perez, Theo-o, Frankie Bones, Rob G, Bodhi, Perfect Stranger, Mickey Mixin Oliver, and many more.
In 2017, he traveled as far as Chicago for the 4th Annual House Music Block Party to play alongside many founders of the house music scene.
He is currently making his presence known in Reno by joining up with Code: Collective, a nightlife group who throws events locally in that area.
Most recently, he was asked by the head of MJS Records, Golden Boy Mike, to remix “The Feeling” by GM Music, Denizen, and famed vocalist Calte Jones.
